Training to be a soldier

Deployment to the war front

There’s something about the sound of bombs dropping that just makes my heart race. It feels like a fight to the death, and I’m determined to win.

I enlisted in the military a few months ago, and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve been waiting for this opportunity my entire life.

I’m now stationed in Afghanistan, and I can’t wait to get started on my mission.

The war here is brutal, but it’s also beautiful in its own way. I’ve seen things that no human should ever have to see, but somehow it’s made me stronger.

I know that I’ll prevail against the Taliban and bring peace and stability to this country. And when I come home, I’ll be the soldier boy everyone remembers – victorious, yet humble.

Returning home

I can’t believe I’m finally home. It feels like the longest four months ever. Even though it felt like forever, it was only a short time in the grand scheme of things.

As soon as I arrived, I ran to my mom and hugged her tight. She’s been through so much while I was gone, and I wanted to make sure she knew that everything was alright.

After giving her a long hug, we separated and I went to see my dad.

I could tell he had been crying, but he pulled himself together and gave me a hug too. We both wanted to say something, but nothing came out. All we could do was stand there holding each other for what felt like an eternity.

After we finally broke apart, we all sat down and had some tea. My mom started telling me about what happened while I was gone, and my dad started telling me about his work.

It was nice to hear their voices again and hear all the good news they had to report.

Eventually, it was time for bed. My parents said goodnight and left my room while I got ready for bed. As soon as the door closed behind them, I let out a deep breath that

Adjusting to civilian life

It’s been a little over two months since I’ve been discharged from the military and I’m finally starting to adjust to civilian life. It was surprisingly easier than I thought it would be, but there were definitely some adjustments that I had to make.

First of all, I had to let go of a lot of my military lifestyle. I had to stop wearing my uniform all the time and start dressing more like a civilian.

Second, I had to adjust to living in a house with people who are not military. They’re all pretty different from me and it can be hard trying to get along with them. But in the end, I think we all managed to get along pretty well.

Overall, I’m really happy with how everything turned out and it’s really helped me grow as a person.
